Science and technology entities are a lever of development of territories. However, technology transfer processes for the production sector, continue to be a challenge.
Business Case:
Innpulsa is a Colombian government agency created in 2012 to support and promote the extraordinary business development, which means, to support business initiatives that can develop quickly, in a cost-effective and sustainable way. To this end, Innpulsa works to promote innovation and high-impact entrepreneurship, making the latter levers of development.
Project
The objective of this project, funded by Innpulsa, was to strengthen the institutional capacities of the Innovation and Technology Development Center with particular emphasis on management in KPO of the Technological University of Pereira (central Node UTP) Transfer and Commercialization of Technologies for the Productive Sector.
The creation and strengthening of regional capacities for the development of innovation, to generate projects or innovative companies that create sustained value, with a global vision and high quality employment in the territory in which it operates. Incorporating in the productive sector technologies required and capable to increase their levels of productivity and efficiency, so as to generate sustained profitability and consolidation
Adapt technology transfer models to the characteristics of the territory to ensure the development of new spin-offs and new start-up’s in a favorable context.
World-class research to increase the profitability of transfer processes and gain competitiveness as a supplier of high-tech entity
Ability to generate companies, spin-offs and start-up’s with the same forces in UTP enterprise system to create a more dynamic and strength the emergence of more and new spin-off’s and start-up’s.
Collaboration and equity of resources as a strategic principle for the successful entrepreneurial culture oriented to strengthen the community, community support for the emergence and financing of new business initiatives and the preference of their products among those outside the community.
